Access to Music via the Internet - opening up a whole new world of choice

One of the real benefits of the rapidly expanding services now available via the Internet is the massive expansion in the provision of online music and related services.

Gone are the days of waiting until Saturday morning to get a bus into your local town to go to the record shop to buy the latest recording from your favourite artist.

Today there are many new and exciting services provided via the Internet to make this task a whole lot easier and much more immediate.

With a click of your mouse, your favourite music can be downloaded and in an instant loaded to your favourite iPod or whatever is your MP3 player of choice.

The ability to download music and material is a dream come true for most music lovers. The simple fact that you can now access and download your favourite tracks and music onto your MP3 singly as opposed to the old days of having to buy the entire album. The satisfaction of now being able to enjoy your music without having to endure the always ever present dodgy tracks usually reserved for midway through side two of any album or Cassette.

Happy days indeed.

There are practically hundreds of services that are now on offer and the choice of material available has never been wider. Because of the nature of the medium involved and the benefits of economies of scale, services are now available that would not have been commercially viable even as recently as a few years back.

If you were to ask most people about Music service online then probably the two most used phrases in any reply would contain the words iPod and Amazon but in reality these are only the tip of the iceberg.

There are hundreds of other stores where you can purchase and download music just as easily. There are now in place distribution services that are connected directly to the major record labels themselves.

Using Wedding Music During And After Your Ceremony

Music is an extremely important part of any wedding ceremony. Most couples will have some type of live music playing during their wedding reception and decide to have entertainment in the form of music at the reception. During the ceremony, the right music played at the right time can be moving. Piano or stringed quartets are often popular choices at wedding ceremonies. During the actual reception, the right music entertainment can enliven your guests and make for an exciting and memorable evening.

Wedding Music for the Ceremony

When you begin planning your actual wedding ceremony, consider what kind of music you want to be played. Most couples choose to have a piano player or stringed quartet play the traditional wedding march. However, there are so many other options. For example, if you have a friend or family member that can sing or play a guitar, this can add a sentimental touch to your ceremony. The right music played during your ceremony can move your guests emotionally and provide for a beautiful backdrop to your ceremony.

Wedding Music For Your Reception

Most couples also choose to have some sort of music played during the reception. This can be in the form of recorded music, a live DJ or live bands. The wedding music that you will choose will depend on your budget, what the reception area allows. If you are having your wedding reception at a church, you will want to check with church rules and guidelines to see if live music is allowed.

DJs are popular choices for wedding music. If you decide to hire a DJ, interview several before deciding on one. The right DJ can get your guests moving so that everybody is having a great time. Make sure that they have a wide variety of music that can suit everybody’s tastes. Most DJs will have some standards, and will ask you what kind of music you want to play during your first dance Make sure you get the prices and you know what they will charge upfront.

Sir Paul mounts rearguard action against music downloads
Yet his generational bias also sees him mounting a couple of original campaigns to goose CD sales of Memory as well. On Amazon. … Sir Paul’s second innovation is to release his new album on Starbucks’ new-ish record label….The former Beatle’s “Chaos and Creation in the Backyard,” released in 2005, opened at No. 6 with 92,000 copies. … However, iTunes Plus tracks are still very compressed and far, far below the uncompressed quality of CD tracks (which are of course 10 times the file size)….
