How do i get music to play on a youtube video?

When i uploaded this video i made and i added some freakin awesome music and the music won’t play on the video. They said it was some copyright thing, but people always have music on their videos. How do i fix this. Please Help. Thanks to all who give answers.
Ok so to the responses that i have recieved thanks, but im still confused because if you look on youtube everyone as songs in their videos or they even have the song/video that they “uploading” so i dont get it. For example, if you make a slideshow of your favorite star and you put music in the background. Everyone has videos like that. and on my video in particular the music isn’t just playing but the sound on the video isn’t playing as well. Please Help.
