Canterbury Choral Society will open its 28th season on Saturday, Oct. 19, with Durufle’s Requiem and Poulenc’s Gloria. This concert, French Post-Impressionist exemplified, is described as two masterpieces of sonic luxuriousness.

The traditional Christmas With Canterbury concert, featuring carols and other seasonal favorites, is scheduled Sunday, Dec. 8. The final concert of the season will be music from around the world, sung a capella by Canterbury, on Tuesday, May 6. Once again, Canterbury will join the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Orchestra for “Yuletide Festival,” Dec. 5, 6 and 7, for which separate tickets must be purchased. All concerts are in Civic Center Music Hall. Canterbury also will participate in a multimedia presentation of the Russian film epic, Alexander Nevsky, Feb. 8.
